GASP!

Jul 16, 2009 21:14

I can't believe I'm actually back again just one week after my last post. I know! What's up with that?

I come bearing fic. No, I haven't zoomed through the next chapter of Marking Time. (Ha! As if.) But the other day when I was posting the latest installment, it dawned on me that there are quite a few fics that I have posted elsewhere, but not here ( Read more... )

Excellent - the three heroes!
Buffy and Spike, after all, so cautious. Defending themselves from future hurt.
And Angel, watching them and...:giggle:

That ... and incredibly hard-headed. Heh.

Thank you!

LOVE IT! Very true to all three characters, and you struck a bullseye in capturing the Spike and Buffy dynamic. Angel cracked me up.

And ya know I never really thought about how he'd have gotten out if he or Buffy had ripped off the amulet before it burned him up. That would have been a challenge for a writer to figure out credibly.

Thank you so much for the kind comments.

Angel cracked me up.

He's a realist, but he doesn't have to like it! Heh.

That would have been a challenge for a writer to figure out credibly.

Absolutely. Dramatically speaking, they had to set the battle during the day for several reasons, including the poignant "last night" scenes and (from the characters' POV) to help improve their odds a bit against the Turok-han. But I do wonder how things would have played out if Joss had planned for Spike to survive the hellmouth.

But I do wonder how things would have played out if Joss had planned for Spike to survive the hellmouth. If Joss had intended Spike to survive, the simplest change I suppose, would have been for Buffy to have gotten him out of there before the bus took off or before it got as far as it did in the show. Then he could have shielded himself from the sunlight beneath his coat and ran for it, just as he had when he left the bus to go into the school before the battle. Or, while Buffy climbed on top of the bus and rode on the roof until it could safely stop, Spike could have managed to grab onto the moving bus and drag himself beneath it, holding on to the under-carriage, sort of like Spike did in Anna S' Season Noir ( ... )

The possibilities are endless, that's for sure! Too bad we'll never know.

But luckily, there's always fanfic to explore the options. Heh.

Fabulous. I love everything about this, especially the wonderful, spot on characterisations.

Oh, my. So sorry. Was doing some housecleaning and realized I never, ever replied to this.

I think Angel's section is my favorite part. ha! :D ,/i>

Mine, too, I confess. Hee! (Discovering your comment made me re-read this for the first time in a looong time, reminding me that Angel's section was the most fun to write! It also makes me want to tweak Buffy and Spike's parts, which I may wind up doing.)

At any rate, an extremely belated thank you!
