I may have to go MIA again for a bit. Hope not, since I'm enjoying being back, but my rather old laptop has suddenly started making a periodic clicking noise. Sounds like a camera shutter going off, only not as soft. It's a hard click. And very loud. Not sure what it is, but googling indicates it could be my hard drive starting to fail.

Sorry about your dad. *hugs* Doing the back-up is essential. Once a hard drive starts to go, it can linger for months or drop in a blink.
