Thank you for the wonderful feedback! I´m glad to hear my art made you more curious about the story :)
Hmm, now that you mention it...the first piece really is reminiscent of that scene in AHBL. To be honest the similarity wasn´t a conscious decision (I wish I had thought of it though). I just loved the idea of Sam patiently watching over his sleeping brother. It was one of my favorite parts of Verucasalt´s fic and I knew I wanted to illustrate it as soon as I read it.
Gorgeous! I love how you used the trees in the shadows - what a brilliant way to show that Purgatory has a lingering effect/presence here. The contrast of wee Sam learning to shave *from* Dean with big Sam being the one to do the shaving makes me all a bit heart-clenchy. There's so much emotion in these, it's wonderful stuff ♥.
I really like the grunge font you used for the main title! What's it called?
Oh, thank you sooo much for the awesome feedback! ♥ Your comment makes me extremely happy because I wasn´t sure if the idea behind the branch shadows would be clearly understandable (and I kept turning the photoshop layer on and off, trying to decide whether to add them or not) - so, I´m stoked you interpreted it right and like the concept :)
BTW, the title font is called "Conrad Veidt". It´s one of my fav fonts ever :)

I just realised that the first one in this sequence is like a reverse of the dead Sam scene in Season 2...
