New toy

I'm currently playing with my new toy. I got an iPad with some birthday money. I plan on using it in my classroom too. Looks like (for the time being) that I will be teaching 10th grade next year. I've done it before, but not all day long. I'm honestly a little bummed; on the bright side, I get to teach my favorite have to read in school book:

I'm trying to remember, but I thought I read To Kill a Mockingbird in 8th grade (?). Times (and required reading lists) have sure changed. ;) I think 10th grade was A Separate Peace and others. I can't remember if Lord of the Flies was that year or a year before.

I read Lord of the Flies in 12th grade, but I'm not sure we even touch that in my district.

I know we definitely didn't read it in 12th grade; it was 9th or 10th for me. Why do reading lists change?

That's fabulous about the new toy. Sorry to hear that you'll only be teaching 10th grade next year.
I need to read that book.
