Twist of Fate: Chapter Sixteen

Dec 20, 2007 00:13

Title: A Twist of Fate
Ratings/Warnings: This chapter is extremely tame. You do have to put up with Caleb for one short scene, but at least he’s not Art.
Beta: loracj2. I usually ask her to look over each chapter twice, but I’m so sick of this one hanging over my head, I went ahead and posted it. I claim all punctuation errors as all mine.

You're most welcome, but shouldn't you be asleep or heading off to school? Unless, of course you're already on Christmas break. If so, have a great vacation. I know my hubby is looking forward to sleeping in. (I've got news for him, for the next two weeks, it's his turn to wake up for those 4:00 a.m. feedings. Ha-Ha!!!)

Thanks so much for the update. I understand it was a difficult chapter to write but you did a great job of it. I always love it when Kirsten stands up to Caleb. Now I'm going back to re-read previous chapters.

Kirsten and her relationship with her father always drove me insane. I guess maybe because I am blessed to have such a great relationship with my own dad.
I always thought Kirsten was more to blame than Ryan for Caleb's heart attack. Though, lets face it the only person to blame was Caleb. He liked his fine booze and his young fine women too much if you asked me. Anyway, if during the dinner with Lyndsay Kirsten had just stood up to her dad and told him to leave Ryan alone maybe it could have been avoided or at least postponed.

I'm so glad you like my story so much. I really wanted to get it up before Christmas, but I'm not so much on computer-time anymore. (Obviously, since it took me two weeks to reply)
Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. Mine was good, if uneventful.

See, you did manage to post this chapter before I leave for the holidays. Even two days in advance.
I think, I already wrote you my thoughts about this chapter, so I just say HAPPY HOLIDAYS now.

Hope your holidays went well.
I promise you, that next chapter we'll get back to Art and Ryan. Like I told Teach, I've pretty much got it all planned out, but nothing has been typed yet. I've made a vow that I must at least have it to Loracj by the end of January. Of course, I thought I would post this chapter before I had Itty Bitty and we see how well that turned out.

Thank you so much for writing and posting in the middle of childcare and Holiday-preparations. It's been a long time since I was in your situation but I still remember how exhausted I felt. I love how the Cohen's all blame them selves for Ryan leaving. Happy Holiday and hugs

Yes, exhaustion is a good word for how I feel most of the time. My daughter is going backwards. She starting to sleep less hours during the night rather than more!
I think in this situation the Cohens would blame themselves. I have tried to make them a bit less self-involved than their canon counterparts.
Happy New Year.
