Luna sits at the Ravenclaw table, apparently lost in thought. Of course she always looks a bit lost, Ron thinks. Maybe her mind is just somewhere else... like her own little island, or maybe her own planet.
She looks down at the parchment in front of her, squinting, then takes a quill and begins writing. But there's something weird about the way she's holding the quill, and the strokes seem to be going in strange directions. When Ron can't stand wondering any more, he gets up and strolls over to the Ravenclaw table, where he sits down next to Luna and stares at what she's written.
"What's this?" he asks, genuinely confused.
"It's your signature," she says mildly. "Or rather, it's my signature. My future signature."
Ron stares at the parchment again. He sees loopy letters, full of swirls and curlicues, but they're upside down. He grabs the parchment and turns it right-side up so he can read her handwriting.

Ron can feel his face going bright pink.
"You should charm that quill to write for you," he says. "Practice your sixth-year charms, wot?"
Leaning toward her, he whispers, "But it's not such a bad idea."
Luna just smiles. "I know, Ronald. I know."
