Title: Complete Strangers

I left a comment on part 2 at thursday100plus. Regarding part 1...I never understood how Sara could leave Gil in the manner she did. And Gil's lack of emotion was very frustrating. What you've written here ("I'm not letting you go/I'm not giving up") has given me some closure.

I like how Jack echoed Gil...while Gil was saying he wasn't giving up on Sara, Jack was watching the phone call and thinking "Don't give up." Very well done.

And yeah, I was floored that Sara finally had what she wanted (The proposal) and then took off - it seemed to make no sense at all. But... based on the new episodes, they are still talking, at least, so they haven't given up on each other. (And canon didn't render this story completely inaccurate just as I was working on it, which is always a good thing!)
And I am a hopeless romantic, so I'm really hoping for a CSI happy ending for those two.
And I'm glad you liked both parts. :)

And I'm also holding out hope for Gil (and Sara, too, I want her to come home and be happy!) and Jack, well - I don't know quite what to do about him. I seem to be unable to write a happy story for him, and I've been trying for a long time.
