A/N: This idea just stuck in my head, and I'm in an incredibly sappy, romantic mood right now (gee, I wonder why?) so I posted it against my better judgment. I hope it wasn't too bad.
Mike’s office was dark, except for a dim light in the corner.
Jack peered in the window, wondering if his EADA had fallen asleep - and although the room was cast in shadows, he could clearly make out Mike, his arms wrapped around Connie’s slender frame. They were too deeply engaged in their kiss to notice Jack, and he stepped back before they could see him.
He walked back to his office, savoring the bittersweet memory of wrapping his own arms around another brown-eyed brunette.
The cast of characters may change, he thought, smiling now, but the story never does.
