i just found out from blood tests that there was nothing i could do for penny lane. she was really sick, and it was something that's been building for a long time. basically, she had way too many red blood cells and it probably (obviously i can't know for sure) got to the point where they just burst. a lot of the sadness i was feeling was guilt

I'm still sorry about Penny, but I'm glad that you don't feel guilty about it any more.

I'll remember her fondly, too.
