Mirror, Mirror

Well, even though I haven't been writing much, my weekend was actually pretty full. I've done a good job of making myself go out and do something almost every day, even the days I don't have work. Having my bike is *awesome*. As Steve says, it's my noble steed. I love riding it in the neighborhood I live it, which is pretty leafy and the houses ( Read more... )

Can I recommend reading "The Power of Myth" by Joeseph Campbell (think I got the title right, the author's name is definitely right)... it's got a lot of good concepts in there about myths / fables / etc. really being instructive for our own lives as "heroes" who deal with all manner of trials, accomplishments, and evil enemies every day... or at least that's what I took from it...

Glad to hear you are enjoying your summer... I'm convinced now more than ever that everyone, especially me, needs a change of pace here and there...

I read part of that in high school and I absolutely hated it. There was something on every page that pissed me off.
