Vagina Dentata: In Soviet Russia, pussy eats YOU!

Well, I am back in the country. If you've wondered, I haven't updated because I just got back last Tuesday and have since been struggling with the worst case of jet lag, on top of three midterms that presented themselves immediately. Ouch. And now I can't sleep at all, when I spent the whole day exhausted (and working for about six straight hours ( Read more... )

I think Mom *is* disappointed. But Mom isn't you, and you're not Mom. If this is the right decision for you, and you're sure you won't have any regrets, then I say move forward. You and Mom can work on seeing things eye-to-eye later. Remember how fun things were with Mom after my divorce? And now she's my biggest advocate on that subject ( ... )

Thank you :) Well, Mom will be Mom I guess, but it doesn't stop me from feeling guilty about totally 'killing her buzz'. But I'm a grown up and I know my life is mine and her life is hers. Mom and I are similar in a lot of ways, and I think she just doesn't want me to make the same mistakes that she thinks she made. Of course, what was a mistake for her might be right for me and vice-versa. So I'm definitely keeping that in perspective.

Dad was basically like, "Ehn, whatever you want to do is fine," which is good by me. :)

Well, I'm glad to hear you had fun on your trip. Japan is a beautiful country (but not necessarily one I'd like to live in for a long period of time).

Thank you :) It really is a wonderful place to visit. I assume you've lived there before... what were the circumstances of that? How'd you feel about it?

i totally am with you on the japan trip thing. I was finally getting things together with my life in the states and then i up and moved here, and i'm going alot of stuff all over again. You know what's best for you, and i applaud you for making the choice you did.

That said, the pictures of japan make my itch to travel fire up. It's been too long since i flew (have flown?) somewhere. glad to see you had fun :)

Thank you ^^ It's so reassuring to hear that from a friend.

Japan is awesome. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a good place to travel, even if they had no interest in Japanese culture per se. There are so many sites to see and there aren't many tourists (at least in the off season) which gives it a very surreal and "personal feel". I definitely liked it better than Italy.

And I know the itch to travel :) Of course, being up at 3:30 in the morning because I am *still* jet-lagged makes me think I don't want to make a habit of it ;)
