He was tired this morning, I assumed, falsely that this was due to having woken twice in the night, twice is unusual, but once isn't, so there was no reason to think that was for any reason. I hate days like today, thankfully they don't happen very often. I woke up feeling completely demotivated, nothing tangible that was physically wrong, but when it happens so suddenly like that, it's not any kind of general low mood or anything. This weekend, our church had a women's retreat, for some reason, I felt no desire to go, but forced myself to buy a ticket and attend. It was refreshing, the title was "Revive my Heart, O Lord", well with that attitude to it, it was a subject matter I clearly really needed ( Read more... )

So here we are in California for the first time ever, it's definitely warmer than we were expecting, not helped by the fact we are not used to Fahrenheit, so those temps mean little to us, and we've no idea whether the current weather is normal, or warm, or cool ( Read more... )

Very quiet day today, Ada was at nursery and Nathanael was relatively easy to handle, I spent some time helping him make a scrapbook, it's spiral bound with funky foam covers and he has bible/church related funky foam stickers to decorate it with, we put his name on the front, but he's announced that he wants to give it to Cathy, or Cathy's eldest ( Read more... )
