i dont know why but Love in the Ice duo version made me cry. It was a first since I have never cried for them since I became a fan, not even the lawsuit drama made me cry.
It was nostalgia, panghihinayang, amazed..and I dont know, it was all mixed up.
and for some reason there is some part of that says that they're doing the old songs to give new sound to it with just the two of them, which is really good and they 're doing are really good job at it. THEY SOUNDED GREAT!.
Yunho sound so good and you can really hear his huge improvement. Im so proud of Yunho he never faltered. He sang Junsu's part on bridge and it was so so so wonderful. I agreed to what I've read on twitter a while ago. It said that they sound so marvelous and not bitter. They sounded so confident. Then there is Changmin. That Shim Chwang has alot of surprise for this concert, even performed Heaven's Day and stripped while performing it..
Im really thankful, proud and happy they sang their old songs and able to give a their sound into to it...
but while i feel happy about it, also feel a bit of sadness. because i feel that as if they were rewriting the history of TVXQ. erasing "unnecessary" events and people that become a huge part of their history as if they did not exist in the first place. i know that it's paranoia speaking but one can't help. We all know that no matter how much "force" that people will use to erase a huge part of their history they can't do so.
Also today's concert made me realize some things. One, I should've listened to Duo versions of OT5 songs, because, two, I realized that while I acknowledge the fact that they're no longer together, this made me accept a huge part that they are now a Duo. And whether I like it or not, they will sing songs of yesterday as a duo. I should've done this since they're Tone Tour. But I will still feel the same as I'm feeling now whenever I will listen to Duo version of their old songs.
I have accepted and come to love them as a duo (i love them even before too) its just that TVXQ for me will always be the five of them. I'm NOT expecting a reunion. No, its quite impossible as of the moment but I'm hopeful that they're communating and still on speaking terms. Because for me, a reunion on stage doesn't matter. What is important is that they rekindle their brotherhood. My boyfriend even says that its impossible for a friendship like theirs will go wasted.
At times, i think that lawsuit has become a blessing in disguise of sorts. Well first, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu got to do what they want and expanded their horizon and grab every oppurtunity that came their way even though there were so many obstacles, they still made it. They were able to make music without being tied against their will. Yoochun was able to discover his love for acting and his acting on his debut movie was recognized everywhere . So is Jaejoong, though he may not like it at first and was doing it for the sake of being on broadcast has come to love acting and was also recognized for it. He also discovered that he has a talent for business. Junsu ventured into musical and now he is one of best idol turned musical actor. For the remaining members of TVXQ, despite having a huge support still faced a lot obstacles too, but still they made it through. Yunho was able to broaden the range of his voice, as displayed a while ago. He was given the oppurtunity to act and improved on it and then he was even praised for it. For Changmin, there is a lot. First he was able to host a show. We all know this maknae rarely speaks, but when he speaks, hello snarky Voldemin, and very witty. For someone who is shy and rarely get out of the house, he was able broaden his network of friends. And now he stripped on their recent concert T1STORY , Jaejoong-style. The two of them has risen up again and made history and beating their own records in Japan.
JYJ may not be in TVXQ anymore but I believe that they are with them in spirit.
Im sorry if someone found this and find this rant very random and very incoherent and all over the place, I blame those two. Especially Changmin...
