I know, I admit I love Marauders' era fic because you can be all happy and fluffy but it's still all angst because we know they're all going to die. *sniff* Blame J.K. Rowling -- I'm just playing with her poor, doomed, gay characters.

I'm glad you liked the fic, it was fun to write. I've never done James before. It was also fun to make Remus prefer Snape to Black. Take that Sirius.

Lovely fic! I loved your explanation of the Shack Incident, and the ending was so bittersweet. :-)

Thanks! I love writing Marauders' era fic because it's always bittersweet -- everyone's so doomed. I also never get tired of writing about the Shack Incident. I think I've written at least three different versions of it.

Thank-you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think one of the things I love so much about the Marauders' era and this whole fandom in general is the way it lets you explore war and the effects it has on people. All the adults who survived the first war lost so much and had the trajectories of their lives completely rerouted. And now we can see the children characters headed into a second war with Voldemort and we know by the end of the next book nothing's going to be the same for them either. The Marauders' era is sort of like foreshadowing for what the Trio can look forward to.

Yay! Thanks so much. I enjoyed writing the dialog for this. I'm afraid I might have gone a little crazy with the British slang.

I love new friends and it's so cool to be invited to stagnight. I've been meaning to check out that comm, this FQF hasn't gotten me in the mood to read some James slash. This is the first James I've ever written but I plan to write more. The rules at the jamesfqf say I'm not allowed to post this fic anywhere else until after May 31. Of coarse, you're one of the moderators there -- so maybe you can waive these things.

No problem, I don't mind waiting to post it until after May 31. If I write any James between now and then I'll post that.

Thanks again.

Oh. -squee-. That was wonderful. Sirius pining after Remus, Sirius' desperation for sex, and James, poor delusional James.

I love the lines, and the characterization.

"Does sex solve everything in your mind?" James smirked.

"Yeah," said Sirius, pulling off his shirt. "Come on."

Fav. line, definitely.

Hope you dont' mind me reccing it. [;

Thanks for the sweet comment and for the rec. I'm glad you liked the story. It was fun to write, I love writing schoolboys in love, pining and practicing, etc.
