Anne Line is the patron saint of childless people, converts and widows. And, yes, I'm pretty confident she's struck me barren for writing porn in her name.
She's not a saint in my denomination. I'm Episcopalian, so in a round about way my denomination is the one that martyred her (though it was the State not the Church that hanged her).
She was a wealthy Calvinist who converted to Catholicism and got disinherited. She went on to marry another convert Roger Line, who died in exile. As a widow she set up her house as a refuge for priests and a place to celebrate clandestine masses. She was eventually caught and hanged on February 27, 1601. Beatified, 1929. Canonized, 1970.
You may address her as "friend of priests" if you want, i.e. "St. Anne, friend of priests, pray for me." If anyone wants to address me as "friend of priests," I'm cool with that, though it might land us both in hell.
Honestly, I just wanted a pseudonym that sounded like a normal name. I decided to check out an index of saints, saw "patron of the childless" and, thought, neat. I also like the name because it forms another name when you smudge it together-- Anneline like Caroline. I'm also a bit of a fan of English history, especially during the Reformation, and St. Anne seemed like an interesting and brave person from that time-period.
That's it. Boring. I hope it's not offensive to Catholics.
