Where AnneLiz rants/rambles on and on...
For two years now I've been buying DVDs and books online, and so far I've always been satisfied because I always got exactly what I had requested.
But. Yesterday I received my order, which consisted of Douglas Adams's "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and Michael Connelly's "The Harry Bosch Mysteries". The second one is a gift to my boyfriend, and of course I would have obviously preferred to buy it myself, but they're both English books, and I'll hardly find them anywhere near where I live.
So, when I opened the box, I found out that the cover of the Connelly book was quite, and I mean quite, scraped. Now, I probably wouldn't have said anything, had it been a book for me. But it's a gift, and I don't want it to look that way (I don't know, maybe I'm just being too overdramatic!)
I emailed the on-line bookshop, to have another copy sent to me or at least to be refunded, and they told me to not send my copy back yet and wait for their next email.
Here in Italy the right of rescission is valid within ten weekdays, so I hope they're not purposefully letting time pass so that I won't be able to do anything anymore against them. But, as I said, I'm probably being very overdramatic. And very grrr! ;p
On a completely different topic (thanks God!), here's another drabble for qaf_drabbles: the challenge was "Hearts & Flowers".

Sleep Tips
Sometimes Emmett wakes up in the middle of the night-all of a sudden, his heart beating faster, his mind wandering without any good reason. He lays in bed, unmoving. He knows that herb tea and counting backwards from 100 just won't do it. So he closes his eyes and remembers.
George comes up behind him and hugs him, smiling against his ear and whispering dirty words that an old man shouldn't even think. But Emmett laughs nonetheless and pushes his ass against his crotch and holds him tight from behind and all's right in his world.
Emmett dreams.
Now, onto Grey's Anatomy ep 3x03..
I dislike Meredith. With a vengeance. I understand you're conflicted between two wonderful men, but you really think that going out with both of them is gonna solve your dilemma?!
On the other hand, I love authoritative Christina.. In the end, when she tells Burke that he's gonna have to take a hold of himself and be the real Preston Burke again, I cried out in delight!
The finale scene, when oh so casually everyone and their mother checks in at the same hotel, is just priceless!
Two days 'til ep 3x04!
About Supernatural, the first two episodes caught my attention, and now I really wanna know: where's Sam and Dean's father? What's the content of the diary? And what demon dared kill both Sam's mother and his girlfriend?
I admit I can see where all the Wincest fans come from (the signs and the little bits of sexual tension are all there), but I can't see them that way just yet..
