I don't have any relationships that are remotely like any of my other relationships. How could they be? Everyone is unique.
Being Designated Leader tires me sometimes. I think I'd enjoy tagging along with an Alpha (if I could find one who didn't make me want to tear his throat out with my teeth :)

David Wade (professional novelist and master of bodice rippers and Tom Clancy ripoffs) once told me never to read in your genre while you're trying to write. You end up either ripping it off (unconsciously or not) or throwing out your own stuff as hopelessly inferior (whether it is or not).
Better to use your own experience. (Why don't you write a creepy novel about a cursed play in an old church? :-)
I've read at least 3 full biographies on Shelley, one on Byron, as well as pretty much everything either ever produced, and I haven't gotten to see that bloody movie yet.
