Jack follows Carter into the briefing room. “Oh, come on, Carter. Just admit it, you were impressed.”
She crosses over to the coffee maker, pouring herself a cup. “I admit no such thing,” she says, but he doesn’t miss the smirk on her face.
“Oh, yeah,” he says. “That was convincing.”
She shakes her head, biting her lower lip as she looks away and he feels a swell of pride. She’d so been impressed. He leans against the table, moving just a bit closer to her. Patting her on the arm, he says, “No worries, Carter. You’re not the first person unable to resist my mad skills

LOL, OMG. So hilarious. This actually reminds me of General Hammond's reaction when Jack is checking Carter out in Red Sky. I believe that scene is in her lab.
Honestly, someone pointed that out to me quite a while ago, but I would have probably missed it on my own. It's not my favorite episode so I don't pay attention that closely. :P
But it's when they're in her lab, and she's explaining something on the white board. He sort of leans over and watches her walk away I think? But nevertheless, General Hammond just sort of glares at him and Jack gives him a super sheepish look. PRICELESS moment. Totally looks impromptu. Well, possibly. ;)
Sam Carter did not flirt with her boss. They did their jobs in a manner that was absolutely and unquestionably professional.
"Carter! Did you get my memo?"
Sam looked up from her lunch and blinked in that way that she knew made her look more like a vapid squirrel than innocent. It also had the benefit of completely flabbergasting Colonel O'Neill. "Memo, sir?"
Colonel O'Neill paused. "Uh...memo. Yes. About the...thing."
"The thing?" Sam said. She knew there was no memo. Colonel O'Neill knew she knew there was no memo. The twenty people around them listening avidly, however, knew no such thing. "Oh! That thing! Yes." She nodded.
Colonel O'Neill shoved his hands in his pockets. "So..."
Sam nodded. "Taken care of, sir."
"Excellent." He looked at his watch.
Sam said, "Sir, would you like to...?"
"Absolutely."
Sam got up and took her tray with her. They left the commissary, both of them pretending not to have any idea that twenty people were watching them do it.
They occasionally collaborated on--professional--practical jokes.

I loves you with the heat of a thousand Jack and Sam grins. Bwhaha. They have flirting and rationalization down to such an art. *pinches their stupid cute cheeks*
They left the commissary, both of them pretending not to have any idea that twenty people were watching them do it.
Hahaha. Everyone so knows. Snerk.
I also like how they can turn any set of words or phrases into a euphemism. Like anything. Balmy and rainy. Lol.

And I'm sure the whole base is closet Sam/Jack shippers. Also, if Jack ever *did* propose in the gateroom, they would so throw paper in joy. Yes.
