Just had a call from my mum not long ago.

She has had to evacuate her home.  Bushfires are burning out of control near Port Lincoln again.  In the last 10 years this will have been the 4 time the town itself has come under threat. And this is closer than before.  The black Tuesday fires a few years back destroyed properties and lives. But this is

oh no! I hope she's ok.

She is ok. I should have made an update post. She was allowed back into her home the next afternoon. The black smoke was from a tyre yard that went up. Fortunately the wind didn't change and they were able to get it under control.
