i hate when it starts getting hot outside.

five babies died today. none of them were my patients. 4 were suspected child abuse kids, 1 choked on bananas and cheerios.

it was sad. i'm okay though.

being a nurse is hard work. i spent my first 12 hour shift on the floor today. had two patients, one on a vent (17 month old) with r.s.v., another 1 month old with r.s.v., it's hard to see those little guys struggle for each breath. i have never seen so much lung secretions (snot) in my life either. but i have to say, even with the little kids ( Read more... )
