Yeah. I heard that Colbert was awesome there. I'm not a Colbert fan but if he was sticking it to the shrub, I'm all for it. >:)

I'm starting to realize that I'm in a painfully small minority with this, but reusing the same jokes from TCR =/= funny. And considering that this was the White House CORRESPONDENTS Association Dinner, I would've like more jokes about the reporters than the President. The Mallomars joke was funny, but that graham cracker line killed it.

And maybe it's just me, but if he was going to go after the GOP that much, he could have at least thrown out a few jokes about the Democrats too. Even Jon doesn't go after the Republicans that hard!

When Bill Plante is funnier than Stephen Colbert, something didn't go as planned.

I know what you mean. I wanted to him to keep pointing people out in the audience and kidding with them. But that just wasnt his plan.

By mocking the entire press (liberal and conservative) he was basically going after both parties. But, I hear what you're saying.

Plante was great. OMG...that Press Office. Poor Gregory....where does he put his legs ;)

I couldn't find your David on MSNBC. Was it on???? I saw the red carpet on CSPAN, but couldn't find David.

Except that he didn't really mock the press at all. Even Cedric the Entertainer at last year's dinner wasn't that awkward, and he had to follow Laura Bush!

I thought the same thing about David Gregory! I can't believe Kelly gets the outside chair, she's so much smaller than Stretch!

Shuster taped all of his stuff (presumably for Hardball on Monday) but before Bush gave his speech he was standing out in the lobby talking to Collette Cassidy back at HQ about it and he looked soooooooooooo good.

That is just so not right. Poor David jammed in the corner with his 509 spray. I bet Imus goes after him for not using Greening the Cleaning. ahahahahaha

So, Shuster was looking hot in a tux. wooohoooo
