Right. Because your guys never use tactics like that.
They only speak the truth, and reference only the non-offensive. Like paying veterans who went to war with Kerry to LIE on a national tv commercial that they eventually had to deny they had any involvement with.
I know how politics go. I'm just annoyed because Kerry (in my opinion) was taking horrible jabs at Bush (Now, I'm not saying this just because I'm in favor of Bush, I'm honestly saying this because it does annoy me. And some of the things Bush said annoyed me, aswell.) Kerry seemed to be taking unnecessary jabs and, in my opinion, some of his comments and his grins were almost childish (but since I haven't seen the other debates, this one just solidifies my opinion on Kerry). I really don't think that his comment towards Cheny's daughter was necessary. On one side, it made him look informed and sure of his opinion (that I agreed with) but on the other side, I think it made him look like an asshole.
Or perhaps he was trying to point out the hypocrisy of a government that would deny basic human rights to a very large cross section of the population even though the subject hits so close to home even in their own cabinet.
I hardly think that that makes him a "dickhole". Considering the fact that his military record has been falsely slandered repeatedly by the Bush camp I think he has conducted himself with a great deal of reserve and decorum.
"Or perhaps he was trying to point out the hypocrisy of a government that would deny basic human rights..." --Honestly, I never thought of it that way. Well, I did...just not in those contexts. I don't agree with Bush on his view of homosexuals but what I was angered about was Kerry bringing in Cheny's daughter. I do understand that it does (probably) hit close to hom with Bush (because both families are close) but I think maybe he shouldn't have done it because it had nothing to do with Bush himself, does that make sense? Or am I confusing you? I think I might be confusing myself. I wasn't only angered by that comment but by others and it angered me more because I drempt about it a few times and in the course of an (almost) sleepless night, that specific comment angered me more and more.
But your point was duely(sp?) noted...just because some of my friends think that because I happen to like Bush, they think that my mind or opinions can't be changed. (Not aimed at you)
I agree with you. I watched it and I was quite peeved, as well. But there is a differece between you and me, I happen to like Kerry and, if the voter registration day wasn't one after my birthday, I would vote for Kerry. But alas, I have to sit by a watch as Bush gets elected again.
I guess it's good that he may get elected again. Only because I'm unsure what Kerry would do with our men over in Iraq. I have a feeling he'd do nothing...as much as I am in favor of him...

---Are you just saying that because I like Bush?

Dislike a man because of his political stance. Don't dislike a man because he plays at politics, because they all do. ALL OF THEM.

But hey, that's politics.
