Fortunately for me, DC passed a law earlier this year that bans all smoking in workplaces (with proper exceptions for establishments like hooka bars and cigar shops.) Before that, going out to a bar always meant coming home smelling like the most rancid cigarette smoke imaginable. I was reminded of this fact earlier this week when I bought a pair

hey, i wasn't sure if you knew what www.rocny.org was up to. it's a non-union worker organization that fights for all sorts of worker rights and they're winning great battles. the best part is that they've opened up a cooperative worker-owned restaurant in manhattan! somebody should do that in dc if they haven't already. perhaps one that caters to vegans?!
