What is going on with Warp Records?!

It's always sad to see a giant and age-old favorite like Warp Records die, but with IDM now long gone, and with the record label run more and more from their hipster, New York offices, it seems like Warp Records has had a bit of an identity crisis as of late. You think I could really make money doing that because honestly, what I blog about is usually the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more albums that I'd like to blog about that I just never get around to it.

Yeah, they're done for. And they won't take me off their obnoxious mailing list no matter how many times I email "UNSUBSCRIBE"! Someone tell Warp that dance-punk sucks. Now I'm gonna go listen to some Elvis Costello.

Forest, after looking around these websites for some new music, I have realized that I AM SO OUT OF TOUCH WITH CURRENT MUSIC! I DON'T KNOW WHO ANY OF THESE BANDS ARE!! HELP ME! PS - Check out this cool label I just found out about: www.importantrecords.com

battles' record (mirrored) is really fucking awesome. and they're an electrifying live band, too. however, i'm all for having my cake (good independent/experimental rock) and eating it (IDM shouldn't die without a fight!)... what to do?
