Now that I have your attention: Courtney and I are discussing some of Sandy's unorthodox choices in staffing (namely, from me: WTF? HEAD OF EVENING PROGRAM? RENEE DESERVES BETTER)... Courtney is part day-camp, part "head of sailing" (that's not a department either, we have like 4 boats, and Courtney's the ONLY sailing staff!)..... we have no head counselor yet... What insight do you have into this madness? Frankly, I'm getting very wary of this upcoming summer, even though the 90% of the returning staff are people I adore.........
please pardon my tardiness in response. I believe there are several things to take into consideration with regards to the summer. One is I think I have made things a little difficult for her by sticking with the head of line position. She has many excellent people that she does not want to loose and who deserve promotions. Courtney is a prime example, as is Becca. Since she does not have the traditional positions to give them, she is trying to find a way to, 1) be able to offer them more $$, 2) give them more responsibility which they are more than ready to take on, and 3) she is reacting to what people listed as interests in working on for the summer on their applications. For example I am certain the Renee expressed her interest in continuing to organize EP's. -I hope that helps. Will I see you at the open house? 'Laga loves!
