A hallway with a random, convenient storage closet nearby- Friday morning

Annie was that girl who was totally comfortable being uncomfortable with her sexuality. This meant that this week was making her really uncomfortable. Add to this normal stress of being a high school senior with admittedly probably way too much on her plate, and Annie... Well, Annie was being a snappy bitch, is what ( Read more... )

One would think Butters would have learned that dancing in random hallways with convenient storage closets, but alas. Maybe, just maybe, if there had been the chance for someone to ground him for such activity, he would have learned. And then there was Stacey and her acceptance of his neatly trimmed bush, which made him feel a little more comfortable in his neuroses, and he wanted to listen to music anyway, and it was spring break soon, and so all caution was just going to the wind.

"I am a woman in love
And I'd do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
It's a riiiiiiiiiiight I defeeeeend
Over and over again
What do I do?"

An interesting song choice, sure, but a damn good one, and so Butters didn't even notice that there might be someone else there except him and Barbra.

Boys should be outlawed today, Annie decided. Girls, too, just to be absolutely safe.

"Oh, hi, Butters," she greeted him, giving herself a mental slap on the wrist.

Butters had turned slightly with a completely egregious swivel of his hips, and it was then that he noticed Annie there and then that he stopped. He was almost paralyzed by his surprise, his embarrassment, and the little niggling in the back of his brain that reminded him of earlier this week. He wasn't so paralyzed that he couldn't lift his hand, though, pulling out an earbud, and bit his lip.

"H-hey, there, Annie," he said. "I-I didn't see you there."

He felt a bead of sweat drip down his spine; this scene was looking awfully familiar.

Annie was doing a valiant job at trying not to think about things she'd just read, such as, um. Knowing how to treat a bush, et cetera. It was just that she was also valiantly failing.

"It's sort of funny," she said, half-laughing. "I just got finished radioing about you."

That's how valiantly she was failing.
