Live in concert, one night only (THANK GOD)

Jul 16, 2006 02:54

Why am I awake at this time? No I haven't just returned home from the bar (I haven't been drunk since April and had a random beer here and there with a meal or at a celebration), or been doing something exciting.

I am awake because the neighbors had people over in a car blaring music and singing along. Who the hell blares "I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge on repeat in 2006? Being a judgmental stereotypical asshole I thought it could be a car load of lesbians (and since I know some local lesbians maybe they'd turn it down if I asked nicely and offered to meet them at the Co-Op for vegan food or to buy llama yarn produced by impoverished women in South America and knit socks for the homeless) but it wasn't. They were some random new neighbors and friends, and I think the guys are either fratty or have a fratastic nature. When I went out there they turned it down, but it was still loud when "Push It" came on. I *love* Salt-N-Pepa but not at two in the morning. They listened to something en espanol, and I swore I also heard "Mambo #5". I dialed 882-COPS (yes that is the nonemergency number) and reported it. The final straw was them butchering the techno version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Moscow PD came and handled it but now I am awake, have a headache, and very grouchy to boot.

assholes, lesbians, neighbors, car karaoke
