DID YOU MISS ME?!?!?

Well, I am back!

The wedding was gorgeous, everything went so smoothly, lots of people came, and it was great fun!
Of course, Hawaii was gorgeous too, so much fun, lots to do, and we didn't want to come back ( Read more... )

HOORAY~!!! That is so exciting! Congrats to you! Is Gracie excited to have a baby brother/sister... does she understand what's happening yet? I know that for Taylor (Jenny's 2-yr. old daughter, the one's I've been talking about recently), it's been a real adjustment since Haley was born... it always is for the first-born, getting used to not having all of the attention, etc. I hope you feel better! :)

Thank you. We haven't actually told Grace yet. She doesn't understand where babies come from or anything like that. I will tell her in the summer when there is a bump that kicks. 1-2 inch fetuses are a little abstract for a toddler to comprehend. (Sigh - there are enough adults that can't even comprehend that they are people - but that's another message string.) :)

Up until a week ago, Grace didn't really understand family. She called me "Mommy", but she thought "Moomy" and "Daddy" are our names. I kept talking about how various kids she knows from church are borthers/sisters because they have the same mommy and daddy. I think she gets brothers and sisters now. This, in my head, is a preliminary step because you can't appreciate being a big sister until you understand what a sister is.

No, but seriously, I have the 8 rools of my own back already, and now I just need a scanner... and the professional ones should be back within 2 weeks (I just talked to them tonight)... so I am just [im]patiently waiting! :)
