i notice a difference personally. i'm less cynical and less cranky and less nervous when i find other things to do with my time. of course, this isn't true for everyone. definitely true for me, though. and obviously there's enough of a trend for researchers to notice. -

i think it's very odd that when the weather is below 75 and humidity is low, we don't get any 'upper' channels on our tv. we have an antenna, so upper means anything past channel 16 wusf: channel 22 (the religious station), 28 (abc), 32 (?), 38 (same as 32), 42 (?), 44 (wb) (no, wait, cw), 52 (spanish), and 64 (spanish). also, usually pbs is barely ( Read more... ) -

one thing
that kind of makes me happy about the new presidency is michelle obama's clothes. they're not fabulous, but they are something different than the ugly, boring, tacky suits of the last few first ladies. ugh. smart, professional women in positions of power (and believe me, being a wife is a powerful position) can wear pretty things and still look ( Read more... ) -

(and if you don't feel like reading the article, nancy reagan didn't hold a seance. she consulted an astrologer during her husband's presidency, which embarrassed mr. reagan. hillary clinton had a seance to connect with eleanor roosevelt. presidential families are funny)
