I totally got it once he found himself on the train and I think it made for an excellent fic. No he wasn't meant to be on the train and Steve kept dragging him back, because Steve will never let him leave. And also the fact that Danny is too stubborn to leave as well.

Reminded me of an ep of the anthology Tales From the Crypt, where a young girl finds herself on a similar train. Except, you know, she doesn't come back...because she didn't have a Steve in her life.

Excellent work and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for this. I'm really very glad you got it--and it does have kind of a Tales from the Crypt feel (what with decay and all, lol)
I really appreciate your comments; I wasn't quite sure how this one would be viewed. So many thanks!

I agree with Huntress, excellent work!! You gave us just enough confusion with just enough clues to keep us on the train with Danny, wondering which path you'd decided we'd be treading to the end :-) Great job :-)

So glad you didn't find it too confusing. Doubly glad you stuck it out until the end (and really, only one path option. I can't kill any of them off. Close, but not all the way ;)
Many thanks for reading and for you comments. I appreciate it!

Ditto all of the above. Really great story, I read it in a great rush because I just wanted to know what was next. Oh, and I hope you do a follow up, I love sequels, especially with something this good.

You're very welcome. I know, feedback is everything. I just want to know what happens next, but either way it's a great story on it's own. No pressure. :-)
