All seems to be working good on LiveJournal after a few days of ghosts in my site causing long uploads and all, but everything seems good now. LiveJournal's been messing me about for the past few days too, although it's been working well enough today. But yesterday it kept refusing to upload photos to the Scrapbook, pages refused to open, and I kept getting the wee birly icon for ages. I'd go and make a cup of coffee and when I came back the page would finally be displaying, but it was stupidly slow. I wasn't sure if the problem was due to LiveJournal itself or due to my internet being ridiculously slow, but it does look like the issue was with LiveJournal, given that you've had the same problems. I also wondered if it might be due to the Ukraine war and the CIA or MI6 trying to disrupt Russian web-sites. That wouldn't surprise me, given that they've blocked payments for paid LJ accounts.

It seems to be working fine nhow, I just need to find time to get on more. I don't think I can get paided account here in states because of war there xoxo

You can try contacting LJ admin (there'll be a link in the FAQ at the bottom of the profile page), saying you've tried to make the payment but it won't go through, and asking them if they'll grant you a temporary account upgrade. I've already done this twice, mostly because I have a lot more photos in the LJ Scrapbook than you're allowed with a free account. I think there are certain other things you can't do with a free account too, such as post polls.
