BOY!

I had my big ultrasound today and there is no doubt we're having a boy. Unfortunately, this kid has not sat still for about a week, it feels like, so we weren't able to get any really nice profile or face pictures or anything that looked really recognizable. As soon as something would come into view he would move and it would be gone before ( Read more... )

Yay for boys! Hey, didn't your psychic mother in law also tell you that you were having a boy?

Sure enough! She kept all the stuff unisex that she bought us so far though.

Nice new icon! The best picture I got is of the legs and feet on their own. I did get a cute one of the bottoms of the feet too, but I kind of wanted some upper body ones that looked like something. But as the ultrasound tech said, c'est la vie!

The bottoms of the little feet are so cute :) At least you must have caught a glimpse of the nether regions, too. I have a nice close up of genitals in my ultrasound collection.

awwww, yay! Juanito is cute. :)
There is a history of Johns in my family too. John Henry Pilkingtons... to distinguish my grandfather from my great-grandfather, they called my grandfather Jack.

I had not thought of Jack, but I REALLY like it! See, John never had that problem with his dad because his dad is not John III, his name is Gary. John III is his uncle, who was killed by a drunk driver when he was 19, so his dad named his firstborn after him to keep the tradition going.

My hubby and I were thinking about the name Jack when we were jokingly talking about naming all our kids after cheeses :)

Hee hee! Those conversations are fun! I remember when we were talking about girl names we just started suggesting words rather than real names and John said, "How about Brochure...or something else French."
