Apparently I am still alive, although I feel like a wrung out wash rag.  Had to miss my retreat because I was feeling ucky and wasn't sure if I had the dreaded flu or just the usual fall sinus thing.  Turned out to be the usual fall sinus thing

They don't do Halloween at the day care. It's a religious holiday, of course, and their position is to not acknowledge religious holidays in any way.

For most people, it is a cultural holiday no different than July 4th or Memorial Day. We don't celebrate it as a religious holiday. I think what that's really about is there are certain people who believe that Halloween celebrates evil. They've been whittling away at Halloween in the schools for years.
