Anyway, we had a Cinco de Mayo feast at work... and I'm not joking when I say feast. There was a lot of food, but we managed to get most of it on our tummies. Yum! Time for a cigarette...

I'd like to take a moment to reflect on my love for Westlake Blvd. 50 mph speed limit, minimal stoplights, only 5 other cars on the road... and it's not the 23 freeway at 8am. The only downside is all the stop signs on Erbes before you get to Avenida de los Arboles, but my god what a lovely road to take to work in the mornings! Maybe I shouldn't be ( Read more... )

I was drving to work really early this morning and let me tell you, Tierra Rejada and that area along the freeway are absolutely gorgeous as the sun is coming up. It was a little foggy and the clouds were just beginning to burn off and I couldn't take my eyes off the landscape. I got a heart-shaped sammich in my lunch today. It made me smile.
So I've been almost completely absent here and I'm not entirely sure anyone cares but oh well. I haven't been at home much lately. At all actually.

So I’m at my new job right now just waiting for Terry to come teach me stuff. It’s been interesting so far. I was concerned for a while that I had gotten myself in over my head as far as taking a job I’d have no idea how to do, but I’ve been picking it up really quickly and the part of me that is very anal retentive is liking it… so that’s good. So it has come to my attention that starting Monday I will have no life. Guess who's working 70 hours next week? I close wednesday, friday, saturday, and sunday at Starbucks next week so there went my weekend. I better enjoy this weekend as much as possible. So I got a new job today. I'm not quitting Starbucks or anything, it's a temporary position for a company in Westlake. It's some sort of code mapping thing which looks pretty easy but I don't think I'm geek enough to do it forever. So thank god it's temporary eh? Also I got a car on Sunday. A 2002 Nissan Sentra. yay! It's so nice having a car again
