I should have been taking notes, because I had to stop several times to laugh my head off. Welsh's dry humour kills me, it's just so awesome. Things that had me ROFL:
- Ray breaking in the rookies - Tom & Jerry and Fred & Daphne - For the first time in history, Canada had invaded and apparently taken at least one prisoner as well. (can't stop laughing!) - Carmen Sandiego and Waldo What kind of man wears a white and red striped hat with a red fluffy ball on the end? Kowalski obviously.- the Chicago flavour (I can tell you love it
( ... )
Tehee! I'm was so grateful for that particular squee comment. I wasn't sure it was as funny as I wanted it to be. I nearly took it out and I'm so happy I didn't. Thanks!!
Grouchy Welsh was so much fun, I'm happy that he worked well. I hope you love him as much as I do after watching the show!
I'm so grateful for the help and hand holding on this one. New fandoms scare the crap out of me and writing for a gift is even worse. I was such a mess. Thanks for talking me down off the ledge. ;)
I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks oodles and oodles!
Before I say anything, and by say I mean keyboard mash, I'd just like to let you know that I have this massive, epic love for Welsh, and so Fraser/Kowalski in Welsh POV?
BEST THING EVER. YES YES YES.
fkjhkgjfkj Welsh! And the poor man bemoaning the steady decline of his sanity! And talking to Deif! And just WELSH!!! And Welsh's last lines to the two of them! And just GUH, DAMNIT.
Uh yeah. This is not coming out as coherant as I'd hoped it would. ♥♥♥
Bwahaha! I love incoherence. It means I did something right.
Welsh is so the man isn't he? I wish he got more love in fanfic in general, so it was with excitement and anticipation I tackled this. So I am doubly happy that you enjoyed his portrayal here.
As for Dief, I figure you hang out with him long enough, eventually you hear him talking back. *snicker*
P.S. Akuni tells me you have the same thing for Paul Gross that I do. Be sure to check out his naked scene in the final episode of Eastwick. If it weren't for strategically placed knicknacks it would be even better. ;) I don't know how long this link will last on youtube, but you can try looking here at about 3:50 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJjYjvofAUM
I know I told you lots of stuff in IM while I was reading it, but I loved the cadences of Welsh's speech, and his humor and knowledge of how things worked in his force and why things wouldn't be so good for a gay cop.
I really liked his observations about the two men and HOW he finally resolved it at the end. *laughs*
I really enjoyed the talking to the wolf, and how everyone eventually thinks he talks back. *laughs* I loved Vecchio having a hand in the medal... don't know why that seemed so touching, along with his sister's acceptance of Kowalski.
I loved the end. So much. *laughs* Now I need to see all the episodes.
Yeah you're streaming comments were adorable and a whole lot of fun. It's certainly interesting to get immediate feedback like that. :D
Welsh is a generation beyond mine, so I had to be careful about what colloquialisms I used, but I love his gruff Chicago cop attitude. I'm pleased it worked for you, especially his final comments. ;)
Hey eventually everyone hears Dief, even if he pretends to be deaf himself! *snicker*
*psst* Vecchio is my first love, so he had to be here at least in his own way.
Oh yes please see all the episodes. They are on the whole so much fun, though truthfully there are a couple that break my heart so badly that I actually cried.
Aw.... I really liked Vecchio in what I've seen so far. I can believe that they could be heartbreaking, there's so much emotional investment between the guys... Wow.
