So. Anyone else wanna talk about last night's ANTM? Also, am I alone in inexplicable love of Melrose?

I think Melrose is fine, but nothing special. But I was so worried about Michelle last night! Who cares if modeling hasn't been her dream since she could talk. She's inherently good at it. Shouldn't that be what it is about? People fall into things sometimes.

Word to the michelle worries. I was terrified for her b/c I love her and she's really really good. Anchal's time was up, imo, so at least our twins are still together!

I just watched it (the torrent was early for once! Last week's episode came out...on Monday, I think?) and I gotta say, I'm so relieved Michelle wasn't booted. Not that I was that worried because Anchal was just bad, but I think the judges were trying to "scare her straight" as it were. Should that be "scare her gay"? Maybe "scare her bi"?

Anyway, while I don't hate Melrose, I think her problem is the same as Lisa's a couple of cycles ago. They know modeling and even though they're not all that special they can take a good picture because they know how to put their best foot forward. BUT they're a) too old to really make it as models, and b) not unique enough.

So funny that you mention Lisa, b/c she was my fave from cycle five. This makes my Melrose love seem more sensible I guess. I just love the uber ambitious weirdos, I think. Heeeee

And while I loved that anchal was curvy and unusual looking, I felt like it was her time. Hell her performance in the car action challenge was laaaame. GO MICHELLE!

I think the problem is that the "uber ambitious weirdos" as you call them, are often so ambitious because they don't have that little extra it takes to be a supermodel. Sure, they can climb pretty far because they want it so much, but they can't ever make it to the top.

I liked Anchal as a person and as a model (for the most part. She took some pretty baaaad pictures), but she just gave up this week. Everything about her just screamed "don't look at me" and she's supposed to be a model, for crying out loud.

I thought Michelle was given a bum rap this episode, though, because the judges entire decision was based on her performance in the challenge they presented and I gotta say, I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to "ski frighteningly". Skiing frightened maybe, but I thought frighteningly was a poorly chosen word. And they knew she must have not been afraid to go for it since she won the challenge.

I'm apparently starved for people to talk about ANTM with. Who knew? *g*
