I’m actually in the middle of writing an email to y’all. I too have been absent from LJ and AO3. I scroll tumblr a bit, but I loathe Xwitter. I’ve tried to deactivate my account, but it won’t let me. Effing Elon Musk will do anything to keep numbers from dropping. I truly miss the old days of LJ. There was such community here *sigh*

I have been toying with a little fic thing. Don’t know if anything will come of it. Probably just a one shot.

Sorry your concentration's been shot, I totally understand that. I've kind of scaled down what I do too, though I don't have any lovely sunflowers to show for it.

I don't listen to podcasts so am not much use to you there, though I know kisahawklin has been creating new ones so I bet some of them will be J2.

Some of us are sliding over to Bluesky as we get invites, it's quiet over there but the format is very like Twitter, so I think it might grow and at least initially, be a good place. Otherwise 90% of my fandom chatting is on discord. I'm still reading a lot of fanfic though.

Ooh, I've not heard of Blue Sky or kisahawklin so I shall check them out - thank you. I'd forgotten about the SPN discords. I deleted mine for a while, now I have a virtually empty one. Do you have the links to any J2 or Sam and Dean ones? For now though, I am off to a rehoming party at a local rescue (for a dog who was longtime with many medical interventions!) and to see if I can get into the ice cave in our town, which only opens for a few days a year! I completely get it with the concentration, if it weren't for audio I would get very little reading done. (I thought sobriety might improve this, but alas...)

I've mostly been consumed with pirates lately, and I haven't come across any recent J2 podfics, but if there's a fic you've been wishing had a podfic, I might be able to make that happen ;)

Sobriety is good whether it enables fic or not! I haven't looked at the recent fic. even the BBs. At some point I will take a browse through AO3. maybe as a guest because I love your reading voice and style. 🤩

Hello my friend. So good to see you post. I love when you post about all your various cats and how they are getting along and now this lovely sunflower. Makes me smile. And I totally get the listlessness. I get it too. Like syls I kind of long for the busy frenetic days of LJ. I couldn't keep up with all that firehose of fic and art, but it was fun trying. : ) I did manage to write a BB this year, totally had to miss last year. The power of my brain to write is certainly diminished from previous, but I'll take what I can get. And yeah Elon is a toad and it feels kind of disloyal to be here too with everything going on in the world. I wish we could all band together and buy it out or have AO3 buy it out and keep it for safe keeping. There's a thought. Anyway good to hear from you any time.
