Also, Firefly is totally awesome! If you're at all interested in dark, human drama that's set in space (sci-fi drama) you might be interested in \Battlestar Galactica, which is sort of the next step after Firefly.

I have seen Battlestar Galactica, but never enough episodes continuously to really follow it. I've only recently gotten to start watching Firefly, but I already loved Joss Whedon's work and I still need to see Serenity.
