I feel very alone in the Sherlock BBC fandom because I ship Sherlock Holmes/Irene Adler since I was twelve, and it looks like most of the Irene hate comes from slashers and feminists. I am a slasher. I am a feminist. And I think shipping a sex worker criminal with a virgin asexual detective is not a bad thing!
