I swear, this is not your father's Jack Bauer. And that's not a good thing. This entire season (while still really good), I keep saying to myself (and anyone within earshot) that two season ago, Jack would have done this or Jack would have done that. Let's not forget, this is the man who cut off some dude's head to get into a terrorist compound and executed a CTU agent because THERE WAS NO TIME! Now some namby pamby guy from homeland security uses his magically flashing magnet to delete the ONLY evidence against President Douchenuts, and Jack figures it out and does ... nothing? Seriously, some guy just completely screwed him, the President is surely to come after him, and he lets the little weasel go? WEAK.
And speaking of THERE'S NO TIME!, Holly the terrorist cat did not appreciate it when I "interogated" her after tripping the power strip. And by interogated, I mean holding her in the air and yelling WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?!!!
The only thing you missed was logan saying pierce was a good guy and if he could keep his yapper shut he could still work secret service at some other location besides the whitehouse (and not die). Pierce said "You are a disgrace to your office CHARLES". Charles walked out and called crazy bluetooth headset guy who said he was surprised to hear from him. Logan said everything was taken care of including his wife.
My biggest question on this episode was I'm pretty sure they said nerve gas could be absorbed through the skin in the previous episodes. No? That was all I kept thinking as the terrorist went into the sub and were touching all the buttons.
Also, I agree Jack would have killed the weasel and asked questions later. It appears he may kill the president in the finale so that would be a nice little turn around back to the old Jack.
Yeah, when Pierce called the Prez "Charles" that was FRACKING AWESOME. Otherwise, the episode was "meh". I'm with E on this one - kind of. Earlier this season was pretty sweet, but lately it's... well, no. I take that back. Or do I?
Clearly, I haven't yet made up my mind. But it was pretty sweet when Jack cut that guy's head off.
Speaking of FRACKING AWESOME, Netflix is sending the BSG miniseries here now. Finally we can see how it all began.
Mark just installed a "Phoenix Shield" on our computer. Anyone trying to break in through a main or even accessory channel will find their computer will instantly melt. I think he learned it from Chloe.
