Later this month, I will turn 28. Erik had asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday, and what I wanted for a gift. I'm not really up for doing anything this year. The wedding has become so all-encompassing that the thought of planning anything else (or having someone plan something) seems like cruel and unusual punishment at this point. ( Read more... )

Easy. It's in Chinese, so you just have to add one little squiggle line. :)

Since you are old, that makes me older (one day). I don't have a clue what to ask for this year either. We have completed more home projects in two weeks that people should and I am out of ideas. I like your reasoning for each option though!

I don't know about Shatner, but have you heard of hollywoodiscalling.com? It's a bunch of b-list and former celebrities that you can have call someone for whatever day for only like $25. One of my friends got a wake up call from Todd Bridges once, but he didn't even think to say "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" until after he talked to him.

Dana is getting me a home brewing kit for my birthday. Yay! We'll never run out of beer again!

This is all part of my mission to become the stereotypical Colorado microbrewery-starting disillusioned former IT consultant. So far, I've got the Colorado part down.
