Shin Splint relief rjcolewinery September 20 2006, 20:53:15 UTC
Shin splints are easily relieved, and more importantly prevented, by doing a simple stretch that no one ever thinks of, and best of all, you can do this while sitting at your desk or in front of the TV!

Without using anything for added support or pressure, lift your toes-end of your foot towards your shin as far as you can and hold it there for a few seconds at a time. You'll be able to feel your shins stretching (shin muscles that is, not the bone). Keep doing this several times a day, whenever you feel like it, and you'll be fine!

If you want a demonstration, come see me at work tomorrow. It'll take about 3 seconds.
