Hockey Season Begins

Jan 20, 2013 00:29

So for those of you keeping track (hahah...I know most of you are hoping this hockey thing is a phase)...the three games that I was invested in all resulted in wins for the teams I was rooting for! I see it as a good omen.

Do I cut for hockey game scores if the games are over? I don't know what protocol is!

Penguins vs. Flyers:

I came in about halfway through the 2nd period with the score 2-1 Penguins. It was an intense battle and some really great plays. And up until the VERY END it was a nail biter. Also Marc-Andre Fleury...WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?! That was amazing. He was amazing. I am so happy for the Penguins and can't wait so see how their team keeps the momentum.

Blackhawks vs. Kings:

So I dvr-ed this one and saw the puck drop and about the first three minutes of this game before NBC inexplicably switched to the Penguins/Fliers game for the whole rest of the first period! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!? So, I missed Kaner's goal (I of course saw it on re-play) as well as Hossa's and Frolick. However, NBC finally returned to the game they were supposedly airing in the second period so I got to see Tazer's sweet goal off of Kaner's first attempt. AND THEIR CELEBRATION AFTERWARDS. Did you guys see how HAPPY Kaner looked with Tazer's arm around him?!?! They were practically glowing!

I sort of expected more from the Kings?!?!? (Not that I am complaining!)

Stars vs. Coyotes:

So, since I have been going to some of the Texas Stars Games during the lockout and the closest team to me is the Dallas Stars I am beginning to have a fondness in my heart for Dallas, too. All I have to say is ...Damn, Jagr is good. I mean, WOW. And I was really happy with how Eakin and Dillon were handling themselves out there, too.

So, tomorrow I care about: Blackhawks vs. Coyotes, Penguins vs. Rangers, OILERS vs. Canucks AND Stars vs. Wild. That's A LOT OF HOCKEY ALL BEING PLAYED AT THE SAME TIME. *facepalms*
