I got almost halfway through it before I decided I wanted to keep my dinner down. This kind of sh*t just infuriates me!

Me, too. She replied to my message by saying something along the lines of "what's next -- plural marriage?" then explaining that she sent this to most of the people in her address book, but will refrain from sending me things of this nature in the future, as she did not intend to offend an "old chum." Then there was a small paragraph with a bunch of bible verses, and my interest level waned even further.

I feel like I controlled myself by not quipping back, "Cram it, Churchie!" or the bible verse about how people are not supposed to eat shrimp. I am just washing my hands of it; it just hurts my heart to know that a former friend, who was so sweet when we were little, could embrace such fear and bigotry.
