Farewell

I've enjoyed your posts. My feelings about your subjects are usually so complex that I don't even know how to put them into words, if I even know how I really feel about them, which leaves me silent most of the time.

It's always an option to take a break from LJ. I've done it and so have others. LJ will be here if you decide to come back to it.

Most of us journal because we want to get thoughts and feelings out and onto paper. Sometimes a discussion will happen. Sometimes people will respond, and sometimes not, but most of us do not write expecting LJ to respond to our needs, we write because expressing ourselves fulfills our need.

Has it been four years already? You deserve a break. Absolutely. I have searched high and low for a venue which encourages thought and discussion. Most start out enthusiastically which lasts three or four 'meetings' after which most people consider the effort too great to continue. It's too bad in a way. But change is constant and especially if you are not enjoying the process, no need to force yourself to continue the practise. I did very much the same thing with a writing prompt online group. When the organizer tired of it, I took it on but one by one, all the participants dropped off until I was the only one left. Sharing ideas is one thing, but presenting a monologue to what seems like an empty room does not satisfy the soul anywhere near as much.

If you ever decide to revisit these waters, come on back. You should know me well enough by now to be confident that I am never at a loss for words.

Take good care of yourself.
