So my Madrigal was great, in spite of it being FREEZING COLD. Here are the highlights as to why. This session was full of things that reminded me why I love to play Lona and reminded me a lot about her character. I arrived late, but was met happily by people.
1. MAWWIAGE. Yes. That happened. I have this habit of doing ambush weddings in LARPs because I hate being the center of attention a lot of the time. This guaranteed it to be a small audience. It was really lovely, people seemed to want to be there and we received all kinds of blessings. Most adorable, mismatched brides ever.
2. My only visit to the "other world". This was unexpectedly crushing, but reminded me of the more intricate things going on with Lona.
3. Thank you sir, may I have another? Special thanks to
dunriver for selflessly and thoroughly showing me all the holes in my defense over and over again as the incarnation of the Dreamfell. And to think, I wasn't even going to go on this module. So glad I did. It was such a learning experience. Among lessons? Sometimes it's okay to just lie down. Also, the Dreamfell's a dick.
4. The Wayfare fight-- This was rough, but the mechanics kept it interesting. The occasional pauses gave me a chance to evaluate my stances and think through things.
5. I REALLY LIKE FIGHTING.
6. Tashka's mom is so Tashka's mom.
7. Worst Vicountess ever. Lona antics at dinner.
8. Determining where the line in battle was by the presence of Ghent's glowing horns. Wizard lights. We need wizard lights.
9. Getting blessings from not one but TWO monarchs.
10. Late lantern antics-- I liked the honorable combat in this and our honorary diversity Elshean.
11. "Cats are indiscriminate!" This was said at least three times when choosing warm-pillows.
12. Receiving marriage blessings from not one, but TWO monarchs.
Lots of ee.
