Oh god. Walmart is looking for a global ethics advisor. Her first proposed project? To figure out if taking the job as Walmart's ethics advisor is indeed ethical.

Non sequitor: i recall that once in a writing assignment a professor corrected my non-capitalization of "god". Any thoughts?

but the capitalization or lack thereof of "God" does not make an implicit statement about his existence. when you are referring to the individual figure known as "God", it is a proper noun so you capitalize it the same way you capitalize "Cinderella". And of course if you are using it as a class noun--as in "Krishna was an embodiment of the god Vishnu"--you don't.

Although i suppose i'm wasting my time by having an english language usage discussion with someone who uses "her" as a gender neutral pronoun. :P

I advise changing the word to "gawd" so that your statement is about the obvious gawdiness of such a possibility.
