Found out about it only about an hour ago, when Sanna started checking the news online at work. It's not exactly every day Finland is headline news at CNN and BBC.

And he isn't even dead. That may be the worst part, however horrible that makes me.
Well, he achieved what he probably wanted: to write get into the history books as the first firearm massacre in Finnish history.

I just can't believe it. I won't even say "not here!" because of course it's just as possible here as anywhere in the world - but. No. It's like Konginkangas but just so much worse - this was no accident; he killed them in cold blood and then didn't even manage to finish himself off. How can you do it? How CAN you DO it? Think it, yes maybe - imagine, perhaps - but DO it? Actually DO.IT.

Reading not-tabloid articles and seeing photos of the government, all in black and looking tearful is fast making this mess seem real. Just -- imagine seeing that. Getting the call that your son/daugther was killed at school. Or wife, for that matter. Poor headmistress. Poor students. Poor parents. As mum said - poor, poor parents of the kid who killed them. How do you live with that? Unbelievable.
