Ew, Jack Bass. Ew. Here's to hoping that he tried to force himself on her (now there's something you don't say every day). Just, ew. The promo is even more eww, even though I suppose there are good arguments for the one with the flowers actually being Chuck while ewwy-Jack voiceovers (the half-scared look on her face speaks against that, though.) There is just something so disgusting about the man - since there was a whole "war against Jack" for 16x2, here's to hoping that the whole Blair deal is used to blackmail him. And I could go for that - it's over the top but this is more or less a soap, and if it makes him even more eww and whatever they did less so, I'm all for it. Especially if it makes Chuck sober up and kick Jack's ass back to Australia.
On the other hand, the rumours/spoilers (yes, I started reading them - of course I did) - about Blair's bulimia being back and it bringing C/B closer sounds like it could be really good, and I hope they're true for later this season. They need a power shift after all this Chuck-saving, and I think they need it before actually getting together. I'd like for her to hear the ILY in that context, it's when she needs it.
In other news, I'm glad that Bart at least didn't cheat Chuck out on his inheritance (even though Jack will try to, but it would have been the nail in the coffin if it'd come from Bart.)
Chuck on the rooftop was not exactly how I had imagined it (less cliché, so good) - and Blair was golden there, just like when she kicked the ladies to the curve. Loved how "that piece of work" so was the last drop for her. Also loved her telling the Mean Girls to get over their drama, or at least refusing to care - clearly she has messier things to do, which, ew, again, but it was a nice moment.
Well, what would life be without a TV!OTP to worry about, and a TPTB to curse? Just don't wait seven years, Schwartz. And I mean, everyone and their aunt gets that C/B are endgame and so happening - it's just a question of how much TPTB are going to ruin before they get there.
And, finally:
"What are you even doing here? You should be passed out, or hooked to an IV!"
Rock on, Blair.
