Rodolphus/Mrs Zabini

A little something, aka the first thing I've written since... um, November? All very drabbly and pretentious, but I'm rather fond of it nevertheless.

For le awesome celta_diabolica, a bit of Rodolphus/Mrs Zabini! I had to use my new Rodolphus-meta in something, after all... ;)

Rating: PG-13, if even that

SQUEEEE!!! For me? For little old me? \o/

This is brilliant, love! All I can think to say is that all that meta paid off here because I recognise all those details, but they're laid out with such a light touch in this piece. In just a few words, you've shown me the attraction between them--and painted the backdrop beautifully, I might add. Viviane is a calculating little minx, isn't she? And I love her.

Rosier's commentary really seals the deal for me, though. Wicked little match-maker, that one.

And what exactly do you get from that arrangement? I mean, in the past five or so years?

*evil giggle*

Right. I may have to squee at you some more later, but first I need to re-read this bit of gorgeousness about 500 more times. Thank you, love! *mwah!*

For you indeed! =D Glad you like! And v. glad that the meta shines through!

Viv is a minx, for sure - she is also often so naive that I want to clobber her ;) Their story got a few new angles just through my writing this - none that make Rodolphus less of a bastard, but that is only a good thing in my book... I do think he cares for her, but he is way too manipulative and cares too much for the Cause for it to overshadow what he might feel for her.

I LOVE Rosier and his commentary - it's been a running gag in my writing of this lot for years, and I refuse to let him stop. He's so...accessible, somehow. No idea how he got that way, but!

SQUEE. This was fun!

Oh I love all the darkness and denial going on here. I especially love the way you described the Lestranges at Rosier's funeral. And she chooses to look away.

Brilliant. Really great work :)
